ADARA-RMC through its Lead Consultant led the development of the National Early Learning and Development Standards for Liberia.
The standards covered ages 0-8 years and developed through a consultative and participatory process involving key stakeholders.
The ELDS include seven learning and development areas:
Physical Development, Health, Nutrition and Hygiene; Social and Emotional Development; Early language, Communication and Literacy; Approaches Towards Learning; Cognition and General
Knowledge Development; Arts, Culture, and Play; and Religious and Moral Development, and four main components: Standards for each developmental domain by age bracket; Indicators for
each standard; Standards-associated learning activities, and Requirements for parents and caregivers
